On Tuesday 15th February we held Rainbow Day at school where we celebrated diversity and our individuality. Each class carried out various activities throughout the day and had so much fun making coloured handprints for a whole school rainbow display.
In Apple classes children explored colour through art activities and colour matching activities, including some beautiful rainbow collages.
Pear Classes also created some fantastic colour art and ‘all about me’ learning.
In Cherry Classes children discussed the word ‘diversity’ and how we all have similarities and differences. They then created words for a display that summarised what diversity meant to them, such as ‘hope’, ‘support’ and ‘kind’.
