Focussed Beats – A music project provided by CreateED, funded by the Rothschild Foundation.
Focussed Beats is a dynamic and inclusive music programme designed for children with autism spectrum condition (ASC). The programme supports social and communication development, enhances wellbeing, and nurtures musicality.
Outcomes for participating children include:
Increased confidence as music makers
Greater motivation to engage and learn
Enhanced social skills and interactions
Improved communication abilities
Active participation in focused interaction and attention-based activities
Development of language, performance, and musical skills
Positive impact on health and wellbeing
Improved emotional regulation and reduced behavioural challenges
Weekly group sessions are led by an experienced music leader and include musical games and activities that build interaction, knowledge, confidence, and performance skills.
